I would like to get one that I can either attach to one of my twin's cots, or put on the dresser, and to project on the ceiling with music/sounds. I've been looking online and people keep saying that they break after a few months. Any ideas?

We've had the same one since LO was born and he's now 4! It's a Tomy lightshow star. It plays for 10 mins then turns off. https://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/tomy-starlight-dreamshow

I second the above poster! The tomy one is amazingggg

My son adored it

It was the only thing that would get him to go to sleep. It plays a few different tunes and projects a large pretty light show on the ceiling.

We've bought another one in pink for our daughter :) We still have his and it still works perfectly and he's nearly 2.

We have the twilight turtle. It's not the cheapest and it does get through some batteries but I really like it. It projects moving waves onto the ceiling and can either have wave sounds or soft music. The music is the least annoying we've found (we tried a few) and it's a soft toy with a hard shell so she could have it in the crib once she was old enough. I found she often tugged the ones that strap on to the side until they came loose.

I think the waves are really relaxing and it's quite impressive in a dark room. They do a star version too but I don't think that moves.

Hi
It depends how much you want to spend although second hand ones come up on eBay but my little boy is autistic he has the most beautiful oil projector beautiful coloured oil bubbles move about on the ceiling lovely colours and so bright and clear they last a lifetime and you plug it in so no battery's :)
It's called a mathmos space projector if you want to look on amazon not cheap but as I said they come up on eBay sometimes
I'm going to use Harry's for peanut as well lol

i've just been looking at this, its amazing! i want one :)

Thank you all for all these lovely ideas. Many years ago before I actually started to TTC I really wanted the Phillips Magic Theatre, because I bought it for a friend and it had different slides for different ages. I don't think you can even get it now and I also read some bad reviews of it breaking, in general it seems like these things break easily! I'll let you know which one I'll go for! XXXX

This one is going strong for us after 2 years and it's lovely :) However we don't generally use the light show much and certainly didnt when she was a baby because she found it too stimulating. go figure.

Another vote for the tomy one, only thing some people complain of is you can't do the show without music. I've not found it a problem though, my 14 month old still has it when he goes to bed. Oh and he likes to turn it on each morning to tell me he's awake!! x

I would avoid the blossom farm one as the music is just far too loud. Woke my lg up more than it sent her to sleep x
