Hi Ladies

I am looking for pregnancy buddies in their 30's/40's due in September and preferably having their first baby. It would be nice to be able to chat about symptoms, antenatal appointment etc with someone who is going through the same things.

Look forward to talking to you :hugs:
x

I'm 30 (31 once baby arrives) and am due mid-September. I'd love another buddy if you'll have me :p

I am 35 and expecting my 2nd child in Sept and looking for bump buddies too.

 Great! Im looking for girls to chat to particulary in their late 30's and having their first.
Im 36, and never thought i would conceive so quickly as my hormones were erratic I skipped so many periods. But I took agnus castus and loads of vits and I fell pregnant in oct. I am not 16 weeks and due at the end of June.
I would love to know how you are coping. I have loads of mates who conceived right from early aged 18 till early 30s, but Im the last one to have my first. i find im alone in this respect which is why I Joined this forum.
Im coping better than I thought I would. I dont have a mum so rely on my much older sister to give me all the motherly advice.
I actually found the sickness the worst bit so far, I could hardly eat anything (especially if it wasnt a macdonalds hamburger!) mine lasted 6 weeks and 2 days exactly, but now im back to eating everything like a horse again.
I dont feel any more tired than i though i was. I think im young for my age anyway and i do lots of mountain biking and was a skater also go to music gigs and mosh around a bit, I have to remember I have to stop this now though
I currently going through my growing phase and my favourite clothes no longer fit me so Im actually going out and buying bigger sizes rather than resorting to maternity clothing just yet as they are just so expensive :x
This past week Ive been really emotional and crying every 5 minutes for no reason. I cant wait for my next scan in feb as I love seeing the little pudding. It makes it all the more real, some days are so trouble free I forget that Im pregnant!! I want to actually grow a proper bump now so I can feel proud, at the moment I think people think I just got a really big beer/cake belly!!!

If all goes well with this one, I plan to squeeze in another one before I reach 40 :-)

Hows it going for you?

Hi,

I'm Francesca, i'm 33 andmy first baby is due in march

Hi Ladies

Thanks for replying everybody. I would like to buddy with you all
I am very newly pregnant and due 20th September. I am 34, my DH is 38 and this is our first child together. We are extremely lucky and fell pregnant the first month that we tried. I feel guilty saying that as I know that many people have been trying for a long time. Due to our age, the fact that my husband has been ill and I'm a couple of stone overweight we expected to take a while to conceive. We found out 10 days ago and to be honest it has taken us both until now to start to come to terms with it. I feel excited and terrified in pretty equal measures. So far the only people who know are my Mum and my best friend. We are not intending to tell anyone else until after our first scan. Whether we will be able to keep it quiet until then remains to be seen!

How are you all feeling and how are you coping with your symptoms? So far my main symptoms are sore bbs (I had to buy a maternity bra on Thurs) cramps although these have calmed down a lot in the last couple of days and also nausea. I haven't actually been sick but I've been feeling pretty woozy. So far tea and ginger biscuits are helping with that side of things!

Where do you all live? We live in London

x:hugs:

p.s my MIL is here at the moment so it's a little tricky getting onto the computer, hence the delayed response. It will be easier from tomorrow afternoon.

hiya as you know i'm 30 and i will be 31 in june
Also never expected to get a bfp so quick because of being over weight but here i'am
A bit weird today - had some cramps this morning but been feeling fine all day
cant wait for my scan to see that everything is ok

Hello Ladies,
I am 39 I am also due in Sept. I decided to get pregnant for the first time in July of 2009 and within two weeks I was pregnant. I was so excited. I was 5 weeks pregnant and noticed pink discharge then I noticed brown spotting. Eventually I had very small amounts of red blood by the end of the 5th week. During my 6 week scan no hb was found. I went back 10 days later and still no hb. I had a D&C 9-2-2009. I had my first period in October....ovulated....no pregnancy. I had another cycle in November...ovulated...no pregnancy...then wammo in December got Knocked up again. I am so happy about my BFP but so scared too. This time around I have no spotting whatsoever, but I am still worried.

Hi. I am 29 but will be 30 in April and just found out I am pregnant. I will be due Sept. 26 or 27 if it is a sticky bean... I am SO excited! This will be our first :) How do I get a September Stars in my signature?

Hi ladies

Angie79 - I have had an odd day today too - felt a bit sick this morning first thing but today is the first day I haven't had either cramps or constant butterflies in my tummy. I know that you mean about the scan. I saw my Dad today and wanted to tell him so badly but promised DH we won't tell anyone until after the scan. It seems so slow but I'm 5 weeks on Monday which makes me feel a bit better as I keep thinking by 5 weeks bean should have a heartbeat.Yay!!!! Stick little bean stick

Hopeful39er - so sorry for your loss. Well done for being so brave, I know it's easy to say but try not to worry. Sending you lots of sticky :dust: for this little one

readyforbaby - welcome. To get a star go to the September stars thread in first tri. On the first page there is the image code. You then go into your control settings, edit signature and paste the code in remembering to remove the last space.

i have only felt sick once so far and no cramps tonight woo hoo - dont really like the symptoms going away and as this my first too i also have no idea whats normal and whats not

I don't really have any symptoms at the moment either, Angie. Sometimes that worries me and other times I think "well I'll just enjoy it because I'll only moan when I start feeling sick!"

I found the really bad sickness comes after 6 weeks. At first i was only feeling a little sick after eating my evening meal and then it would go away, it wasnt really morning sickness for me. As soon as six weeks came I then knew it. The sickness was like an intense car or sea sickness that never went away. I immediately went off fresh fish and all hot drinks, in fact I was on bottled water and lots of dried food like cornflakes with no milk and biscuits for the next 6 1/2 weeks. Then it all goes away again. well it did for me, hope you are as lucky!
Its true that when you are not feeling any symptoms you worry about the baby, but its all fine. Its just growing away quietly in there and when you go for your next scan you are suprised at just how big he/hers got.
The early days are a bit quiet and then until you start to grow bigger and get the round ligament stretching pains and food cravings then you start to feel more pregnant and it all seems more real.

Thanks for the info Skaterbun - it's good to hear things are normal from someone a little further along. I know what you mean about seasickness - that is exactly how I've been feeling and explained it to DH. On the whole I have felt ok today just the odd cramp and sharp boob pain. I'm 5 weeks tomorrow so no doubt it just the start of thing's to come!

I booked some tickets for the Baby show at Excel on the 19th of Feb today. My Mum is going to be coming with me. It's a bit early - I'll be 10 weeks but the next show isn't until October so it's Feb or nothing. I enjoyed going to the Wedding Show when I was getting married so I figure the Baby Show will be good for seeing lot's of different things in one place. Is anyone else planning on going? I don't plan on buying anything for quite a while but it's nice to look - it feels nice going into Mothercare and knowing your not just wishful thinking and don't belong there. I thoroughly enjoyed buying my maternity bra the other day. I had some money for Christmas which I have saved. I was planning to spend it on some clothes as I haven't bought anything new for a while but now I'm going to make do and save it for maternity clothes!!! Hurrah!!

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend??

Hiya ladies,

I'm a whooping 37 (38 when baby arrives!) and this is my first ever pregnancy. I was married a few years back and after unexplained infertility, my ex hub and I did a few rounds of Clomid and IUI without success - to cut a long story short, we got divorced and I have been with a fantastic new partner for 2 years. We recently got a dog as I was convinced that I wpould never have a child.
I'm not sure if it was because I had stopped stressing about it but I found out on Friday that we are gonna have a baby ! If the websites that I have looked on ar correct, I will be due on September 23rd!
We had a slight scare yesterday as I noticed a tiny spot of blood in my underwear. The NHS direct Dr was awful and told me I was miscarrying and to go to hospital. Obviously being so early, they could not check for a heartbeat but the Gyno checked and said that my Cervix is closed and no blood was visible which is a good sign. They have booked me in for an early scan on 2nd Feb and I am praying that all is ok.
Would love to share/compare with other ladies xx

Hi Mace and welcome.
Congratulations - I believe some thing's are just meant to be. Perhaps you and your ex-hub just weren't compatible but you and your new guy are?

I've got a dog too - I've had him for 18 months and there is no doubt that he is a baby substitute. It's really strange but since I got my :bfp: the dog has practically ignored me!

Finger's crossed for your early scan, I'm sure it was just little bean getting comfortable that caused your bleed.

Take Care

do any of you have pics of your positive pregnancy results? I have taken 6 tests (all positive) but my non-digital tests have not gotten darker over the last 48 hours and it is scaring me. I get bloods drawn today then back on Wednesday to make sure HCG is doubling. So nervous but hopeful!

ready for baby - here is the link to my tests https://www.babyandbump.com/pregnan...-9-or10dpo-eyes-please-updated-new-tests.html

The last one I took was a digi last Thursday and tempting as it is, I am not going to take any more. I think you need to "step away from the tests" as you are probably worrying yourself unnecessarily. Unless you are taking them at the same time of day having consumed the same amount of fluid and food it's hard to draw an accurate comparison. Best of luck for your blood results, try and stay positive.

Hi MrsJo8, I was thinking of going to the pregnancy show too at the London excel, maybe the saturday one though on the 20th feb. Got my next scan on the 18th, the time when i should find out when its a girl or a boy !!
Like you Ive been down to Mothercare with my Christmas money trying to find some decent clothes that look fashionable and comfortable at the same time.
I do resent paying £35 for a pair of work trousers that i will only be wearing for another few months, I found some great ones in dotty P's though! Mothercare do seem to capitalise on expectant mothers you really do have to shop around though or go online if you want something a bit more reasonably priced and maybe something that looks a little original. I was getting away with wearing oversized jumpers and leggings, but when you get to my stage you may find round ligament pain is just too painful, I have found this tugging sensation the last couple of weeks if I dont wear supporting trousers or anything under my dresses. Its the uterus getting heavier!!!
I am going to look for a maternity belt today to wear under the dresses. I have this long pillow too that I have in bed which is great help too, as it supports the bump when you roll on your side and in between your legs. All this you will see at the Exel show, it should be fun, hopefully I can get there. I am doing research on pushchairs at the moment. I want one that isnt too expensive but doubles up as a Car seat too and can be used from birth until at least 2 years old.
It does seem strange buying stuff for myself at the moment, so I wont even buy anything for the baby until at least two months before babys due. One I dont have the room and two I just dont like tempting fate!!
I think the show will be good to pick up lots of freebies and to get a good idea on whats out there.
