Hey all! 👋🏼

I am a returning BnB momma. My husband and I are getting ready to TTC for baby three! I had my second (a boy) in Nov 2016, and we are ready to expand. It's a lengthy process for us as I have PCOS and need fertility meds/consultations.

This time will be a little different, as I have different insurance and cannot go to a FS (fertility specialist). I also had to get an entirely different OB/GyN.

Thankfully, he does do clomid, so I am crossing my fingers that my body responds to it and I can take a relaxed approach to it. I sure am getting antsy. We have been trying on our own since basically aug of last year.

Who wants to do this together!?

Currently CD 1 I believe after a LONG and odd cycle 😂

I am also TTC #3! My fertility is essentially non-existent. :haha: I actually went in to get blood work today to get re-approved for Clomid. :)

Today is cd 21 for me but I will need more Provera to start another cycle so right now I am in limbo waiting on the results and hopefully a shiny new prescription of both Provera and Clomid. :haha:

I am with a new OBGYN this time because my old practice closed, but she claimed that my old history of infertility was okay and just wanted the one blood test to confirm so here's to hoping.

Hello! I’m also TTC #3 and have PCOS. I live in the UK and would get very little if anything in the way of help this time around. I’m ovulating on my own at the moment (and living in constant fear that’ll suddenly stop again) so hoping for the best!
I’m at the end of cycle 2 of trying now. AF is actually due today but am still waiting. All BFNs (one faint grey line on a blue dye but I don’t trust that).

Fantastic that you’re able to get clomid. It was a wonder drug for me first time around. Good luck!

Hoping the best for you, jellybeanxx!

That is really unfortunate that you are unable to get Clomid. Is there a particular reason that the UK doesn't do it after the first child?

I was offered it with DS2, but funding for the NHS has been really tightened so fertility treatments have been limited. It tends to depend on which area you live in. For example, the guidelines are that people who need IVF should get 3 rounds on the NHS but very few areas actually offer that. Some have stopped offering any IVF treatment at all.
I think I’d get basic blood tests for fertility from my GP but I wouldn’t get referred to a clinic. I feel fortunate in that I haven’t had to pay any money at the point of use for any of my medical care during fertility treatments, pregnancy, and birth (or any other medical care). It does mean there aren’t unlimited funds though and it has to stop somewhere.
There’s always the option to go private of course but I don’t think it’s something we’ll do.

Welcome!! I actually made an appointment with my own fertility specialist anyway. After posting this today, I decided what is a re- consultation going to hurt. I called to see about how much it was going to cost for another visit with him plus an ultrasound and they were thinking around $500. I figured if it gets the ball rolling again, I may as well start!

The appointment I have with my OB is on August 23, so if I'm patient enough I could always cancel the other with FS 🤷🏼*♀️

Looking forward to the journey with you! I hope you get your script!!

Welcome!! Fingers crossed for you! Maybe late implantation and you'll get BFP! 🤞🏼

I respond well to clomid, so I'm crossing my fingers I just need that and timed ovulation 😄

Wow- it crazy how different things are based on where you live! Insurance doesn't make sense here AT ALL! 😒

I am glad that you haven't had it effect you financially! Health care in the States is a little wonky too. It seems it is really an all or none thing here. Luckily, my insurance is one that covers most fertility options. Not sure about IVF but we haven't had to try that yet thankfully.

How are you feeling today? :hugs:

That's awesome! I had a pouty day today hoping that my Ob would call. :haha: As long as she calls within a week so that I can stay on track with my plans! I have been planning for August and I will stomp my feet if I can't get started. xD

Have you done anything to fight off any impatient urges? I have been doing my best to keep busy and stay positive. It took a long time to conceive #2 and I want it to go quick but I feel I need to be prepared just in case. I have a naive hope that if my ob scripts the exact dose/timing I was on that it'll all just happen.

I have already ordered OPKs :haha:

Oh my gosh, we literally sound like we're on the same page! Last night, I had thought about canceling my appointment with my fertility specialist. But then, I realized that I am legitimately on CD to 2 today. My visit will actually fall on CD 17, and if my suspicions are right, and I actually do ovulate late, there's a good chance he may see follicles on CD 17 when he does my baseline ultrasound!! If not, he can prescribe me Clomid and I'll be good to start!

As far as patience goes, I decided that I'm just going to be super positive🤗, especially this month! I am happy to be on AF right now so that way I can pay attention leading up to the appointment. I am going to try to temp in the mornings and do opks starting Monday!

Happy Saturday!!! I am CD 5 today... maybe 7 since I didn't count the first two days of super odd and light spottin 🤦🏼*♀️Lol! Either way, I am going to start opks on Monday, and keep taking them till AF 😃 The last time I had a super odd period like this I was regular for the next four months. I am hoping that is what's going to happen. I have my appointment with my fertility specialist on CD 17, so we will see!

Hi girls we’re trying for baby number 4 I have 3 boys ..
I had one shot of depo in December thinking we were done well we changed our mind and I’m waiting for my cycles to return to normal I’ve just been having irregular bleeding !! My opks are almost positive now ! X

That sounds like a good plan! That would make it convenient for you. :)

I have never actually tried temping before. I was good with just OPKs for the first two. Has temping helped you in the past or will this be your first time trying it?

I am still waiting for my call. I expect it will likely come on Tuesday but you can bet that if it doesn't, I will happily call my ob instead :haha:

Welcome donnarobinson! Wishing you luck on baby #4 <3 My next door neighbors actually have 4 boys and they are all darlings. :)

You better be fertilizing that garden! :haha: ;)

I've attempted temping in the past, but will admit I'm so lazy with it. Especially weekends! I have gone back and forth with the thought of ordering an Ava bracelet! My husband says go for it! lol hope you get your call!

I have as well! They are so tempting! I am seeing ads for them everywhere and I have read a bunch of success stories. If he's cool with it, give it a go! :)

She has two days to call me before I annoy her :haha:

Just to say if you’re thinking about ordering an Ava, I have a discount code. Drop me a PM and I’ll pass it onto you. I’ve been using mine for a few months now and it’s been a lot easier than temping.
