Hi! My name is Marie, I'm new to this forum, so there are a lot of abbreviations on here I don't get yet, but I'm a fast learner.
Becoming a Mom has been my greatest wish since I can remember, and last year I finally met the man I want to raise a family with.

I've had some moments of despair already with bfn's, but I realize it might take longer than I wish. I just desperately hope not, which might be why I keep getting negatives, because I'm just too stressed out about it.
I'm 31 years of age, and work as a therapist.

I'm a very supportive and caring person, so if anyone wants to be my buddy, you can count on my support :hugs:

Looking forward to getting to know people who get what I'm going through and can support me back :happydance:

Hello, Marie, congratulations on finding your Man! haha! I'm 30 years old and TTC #1 with my husband- we celebrated our 11 year anniversary yesterday.

I work at an international school as a music teacher, and I've found it really hard to find someone to talk about TTC in my community.

What Cycle Day are you on? I'm on CD 2. Here's to a fresh start!

Thank you! :hugs:

Music teacher? How lovely! And happy anniversary! :flower:

It's kind of embarrassing, but I haven't really studied enough of my own cycle or what everything means yet. Because before I met my partner I sort of had to suppress how much I wanted a child, and stayed away from reading up on all of the things people talk about here. I'm looking forward to learning everything though!

Thanks! I just noticed your ticker, so it looks like you're CD 5- we'll be testing around the same time, then!

I was diagnosed with PCOS, so I had pretty much given up on a biological child until recently when I started eating Primal/Paleo, dropped 25 pounds, got my (previously non-existent) menstrual cycle back to 29 days naturally, and realized that there was hope.

They say you should take your temperature every morning to identify when you ovulate, but, as my husband has testified time and time again, I am a zombie in the morning. There is no way I could be cogent enough to stick a thermometer anywhere and then record the number.

I have found that monitoring cervical mucus (CM) is actually pretty easy and gives me a good idea of where I'm at. You might start there.

We will? That's awesome!

And how wonderful to read that you by changing your diet was able to get your cycle back! That takes so much willpower I know.. I was diagnosed with Graves, and told that if I didn't change my diet, I would not be able to conceive. So I'm on a similar diet, and they just recently tested me again and not only is it gone, but it does not look like I will have worry about it ever coming back <3

Right now I have a fever, back ache, swollen glands and heart palpitations, and I read that a lot of pregnant women experience cold symptoms before a BFP. So heres hoping! [-o<

Hooray for food that helps instead of hurts! I found thinking of food as medicine really helped me put things into perspective. Congrats on kicking Graves in the butt!

I'm about to start my 3rd round of Clomid- this time 100 mg. Little worried. Thankfully it doesn't upset my tummy like some women, but it seriously messes with my mood. God bless my DH who loves me enough to ride out the crazy!

Are you taking prenatal vitamins? I take prenatal and omega-3.

Oh it sure does. Been sick for so long, found out I had a lot of allergies as well, so I feel like I'm finally on the right track. My friends sort of encouragingly tease me and say that with all that I've gone through these last years, I'll probably be one of those pregnant women who are totally fine through out the whole thing :D

I take vitamin D, Selen (almost done there), iron, B-12, and I just finished taking magnesium.

Never heard of Clomid? Ugh. It is so frustrating to have something you can't control take over your mood. But I'm sure it feels good to have the support :)

My relationship with my partner started while I was sick, and I got sicker after the first 2 months. He has been my rock, and I can't praise him enough <3

Hi Marie! Best of luck to you :) I am new to this as well. I stopped my bc a week and a half ago so just kind of ntnp (not trying, not preventing) but I'm not sure if we will continue-I posted in the ntnp board, but DH started on some Meds again and I don't want to TTC until that's taken care of, so we'll see. :( especially since every day I seem to want a baby more than the day before it's harder to wait.
What kind of therapy do you do? I work in a corporate fitness facility doing wellness programs and group exercise :)

Hi Marie! Welcome! :flower:

I'm Chelsey! We're also TTC #1 and have been NTNP for about a year but just recently started 'trying' last month but didn't catch it so we're hoping for this month! I'm not charting or taking OPKs just yet, we're hoping to do it in the least stressful way possible but I'm sure that will change if it doesn't happen soon lol

Here's a thread with all abbreviations! It's helped me a lot, I've only been a member here for about a month :)

Good luck and lots of baby dust to you!
:dust:

New here, as well. On CD2 now so just got disappointed yesterday. We've been NtNp since January and just started trying for serious this last cycle, so very new. I dont know very much of the lingo, either, but will be clicking that link above in about two minutes!!

Welcome, Libby! Sorry 'bout AF. How long are your cycles usually? Best of luck to you this cycle!

Hello, I've been on the loss boards and am happy to finally be posting in the ttc forums. I'm relatively new to it. 3 cycles in all and this is my 2nd cycle after mc. I'm at cd30/13dpo. Af was due yesterday/today, but I got a bfn and expecting it to come tomorrow and be just a few days behind some of you. It will be nice to be in sync!

I'm just figuring out stuff, like this was the first day to take my temp. I have no idea about the temping stuff.

I'm pretty interested in the diet and supplement talk on here. After the mc, I've been trying hard to eat well, etc. My kitchen is basically Whole Foods transplanted. I welcome all supplement recommendations!

We got married last September. It's so crazy to finally admit how much I want a child and actually be able to pursue it! Good luck everyone!

Heya, Annie! I just started temping this cycle- you can see earlier in this thread I was not sure I could do it, but it ended up being pretty painless and easy! I highly recommend Fertility Friend- that thing does most of the work for you.

I am maintaining a Primal diet of at least 80% primal-approved foods. I steer clear of any and all grains, anything processed, and eat sugar in fruit or honey form in very limited amounts. I make sure to eat some good healthy fats daily, too. I'm taking a Pre-Natal supplement and Omega-3.

I'm usually 27 day cycle. 28 this month so for one day I had a big hope. Not to be. I'm using FF. It really tells you exactly what to do to keep track of everything. Its a very nice tool to have!

Linz, I was just going to say I'm probably too lazy for that diet. But I just checked it out and I think it's pretty much how I eat anyway...except not ultra strictly and with a few carcinogens thrown in here and there. I make an extremely disgusting smoothie every morning that has flax, chia, hemp, spirulina and maca in it. And obviously some berries and greens. I went to an acupuncturist (that stuff is crazy how well it works!), and so I have some herbs (I don't even remember what their purpose is) and cod liver oil or something like that.

Annie- "Disgusting Smoothie" sounds exciting. Do you and your hubby both drink it? Yeah, I find my diet very sustainable and I don't have to feel bad about having a treat every so often.

Libby- Sometimes those one days get you the worst, don't they? I had that last cycle. Stinks.

I've never had acupuncture treatments, though I'm certainly living in the right place for them in SE Asia. Might give it a try if this cycle doesn't work out.

That one day is a real tease. But I cried and moved on at CD1.
So I wonder if that smoothie really is disgusting. Ive had some that really ought to have tasted just terrible but didn't at all! I recall one with strawberries and blueberries and flax (and a bunch of other weird stuff) that was bright purple and really tasty! A friend wouldn't have it because of its awkward texture. Very grainy.

Haha - no way will he go near that smoothie. And no, I don't even try to make it taste good, because I'm trying to avoid too much of the sugar in the fruit even. So it's like a massive shot of brown sludge. But yeah, it would totally be possible to make it palatable.

Where are you in SE Asia, Linz? It's always interesting to me that I'm talking to people so far away. Yeah, I know that's how the internet works though lol

I live in Malaysia. I've lived all over the world and as a child, I remember using fax machines to send letters to my grandparents. It's amazing how fast the world has changed!
