Looks like a c-section for me....

So I had a 34 week scan today to see if the placenta had moved but it is still sitting at 1.4cm. I was told that ideally it should be over 2.0cm. I have another scan booked for 28th but doubt a natural birth will be an option as he has also moved from head down back to breach...

So, quick question - what else do I need in my hospital bag for a c-section as opposed to natural birth - for me and baby?

Sorry to hear that, hope it moves at the last minute!

For c section you need to be prepared to stay in hospital 3 nights so enough stuff for you and baby. For you, really soft, loose comfy clothes, you won't want anything tight around your lower abdomen near your wound. Including big or loose pants, well that's what I wanted anyway!!

I can't think of anything else, I had an emcs so didn't plan or pack for one and don't remember needing anything different x

Thanks hun! Ordered some huge pants and nighties so hoping I will have enough bits and bobs xx

Definitely think about what you'll wear to go home in. Lots of jeans and trousers sit right where your c section wound will be which would be painful. As pp said - plenty of changes of clothes for you and baby. Good luck

I had an emergency c section before I had a chance to pack my hospital bag and then struggled with clothes as nobody could find the things I wanted, I definitely recommend maternity trousers still or anything that sits up high over your bump. I'm still wearing big pants now and ds3 is 9 months old because my scar still irritates me

Hmmm thats a point! My maternity trousers are all under bump ones so would sit on wound and too cold for skirts.... Will see if I can pick up some high waisted joggers or something! Thanks hun xx
