I may need to make a trip home with lo. Coming from where I am to home is going to take anywhere from 36 to 48 straight hours of travel in airports and planes.
Lo is combi fed how will I manage. Not sure how to get bottles cleaned and sterilised while travelling and he'd need about 12 over that time so no way I can travel with enough plus extra in case of delay. How do people manage?

Not a matter of brave my father is seriously ill. Anyone?

Maybe ready to feed formula? It comes in three ounce jars, pop the top, screw on a nipple and your all set.

Ill have to look and see if I can get that here have never seen it in NZ.

Here you can pre order milk at the shops in the airport so it doesn't count in your allowance because your buying there, therefore they know its safe ect.
You can also buy disposable sterilised bottles, or buy the ready made bottles, depending which milk you use.
It's worth looking into it. Sorry your dad is ill :(

See if you can get the ready made liquid versions of your formula, I can't really see another way that wouldn't be a massive hassle. Even better, see if you can get the ones that have a teat/completely ready to go, such as these but for whatever your brand is-

Obviously it will depend on where you are and what's available.

Also you can get disposable pre-sterilised bottles (I've seen them on Ebay) called sterifeed bottles I think. It would be more affordable than having to buy anymore bottles and might save sanity on the journey x

Look in NewWorld, they have the paper package ones but not the one in ready bottle, I couldn't find those anywhere here when I was pregnant. Couldn't order from Amazon either, maybe your family can send some here from the UK if there's enough time. If you go by Singapore, you could check if they sell it there, if you go by the US, they definitely have it, just not sure about the particular airport.

How much 'combi' is in your feeding? Could you up that part of it for the flight therefore using less bottles? Otherwise I would sterilise as many as you can. Bring ready made formula and ask the flight attendants for help, if you explain the situation then I'm sure they will be helpful. And at airports you will almost certainly be able to find somewhere to sterilise them, most big airports have mother and baby rooms/facilities. Plus we took dd on a long flight when she was around 4/5 months and she slept SO much. If they are in the bassinet on the floor in front of you I think the vibrations just make them fall asleep! I've honestly never seen her sleep so much. I did try and wake we up for her bottles but she was so sleepy she barely took any milk at a time, she ate about half if what she usually would have done! I knew she wasn't going to starve so I just fed her well on the stopover when she was a bit more awake and then when we got there she ate a ton! I would try and up the BF before you go and give her a big bottle before you leave.
Don't worry Hun, it will all work out whatever happens and stressing yourself won't help. I'm sure you have enough to worry about already xxx
