Lo's and their great grandparents!

Sorry if this has been done before - I know we've had a lot of picture threads lately! But I wasn't sure if there were any of great grandparents with our LO's.

So I'll start. This is my grandad on my mums side, and his wife Margaret. I consider her a proper grandparent as they've been together since long before I was born.

You may be able to tell by his body language...Thomas was HORRIFIED being held by strange people haha!

Beautiful pics!

Unfortunately i got my BPF the day before my Grandads funeral, heartbreaking.
However my Mum (his daughter) put a very positive spin on it, saying he went to make room for her cuz he knew how much she was wanted.
Bitter sweet!

Aww thats nice that your baby has great-grandparents alive, I loved my great-grandma when I was little, she was always knitting gloves and socks for us!

Sadly I can't get any pics, my last grandparent died when I was 22 weeks pregnant but I can pass on my memories to her at least.

My LO only has 1 great grandma, my OH's gran. I dont have any photos tho! I find it hard to think of her as great granny, as shes only in her early 60's and looks in her 40's! lol

Am I not as old as I thoght I was? I'm 28 so LO still has all his great grandparents alive (they are all 65-70 years old). I only just lost my last great grandparent last year.

My parents had me when they were 31, which was late to have a baby in 1980! They are now 62, my nan is 86.
Were your parents young when they had you? Most people had babies when they were about 20 in the olden days

My friends got some lovely pictures of 5 generations (her LO, her, her mom, grandmom, great grand mom) - so LO's great great grand mother

Sort of I guess? Mum was 18 and dad was 22, it's normal inmy family to have your first at 18 and be married, I started TTC when I was 18 with my current partner.

I thought I was ANCIENT to be having my first and you guys were all about 20 lol!

Those pictures are so cute!
Both of Hana's great grandfathers have passed away.
Her great grandmother (my Dad's mom) lives 6 hours away, and Hana will not get to meet her until July.
Her other great grandmother (my Mom's mom) is a vile woman who is not allowed within 100 feet of her.

I have some of great grandparents, but also of one with her great great grandmother! I'm not young either, I'm 32 and the second oldest of all my cousins.

My great grandmother is still alive too, we are planning to visit and get a photo of the five generations of our family! How special!

Aww, that is just so lovely! I wished I had some pictures but I don't. LO's maternal great-grandparents have long past and paternal grandfather passed 10 years ago. Paternal grandma passed this January.

And him with my nan. I can't visit my nan with Daniel anymore because she has Alzheimers and starts thinking that the baby has been left in a room alone at her care home. I had to call her one day and reassure her that he was home with me, safe and being cared for after she had been up all night yelling at the staff to fetch the baby so he doesn't get cold and hungry
