I was prescribed effexor (venlafaxine) for PND, after trying citalopram. Was on it for 5 months until i realised that it was made me put on 1.5 stone in weight. Although it eased my depression slightly, i was more depressed about being fat. the information leaflet nor my GP mentioned weight gain and the awful side effects you go through when withdrawing from the drug. I have now been off it for 3 weeks, anyone lost the weight they gained?
