Hello all. I have a daughter that I delivered at 37 weeks in 2012. Fast forward to last year when I found out I was pregnant with fraternal boy/girl twins. The pregnancy was going "perfect" until it just wasn't. My cervix was completely dilated at 20 weeks and I delivered my precious babies at 21 weeks 3 days. It will be a year next month. I've talked with my OB and high risk doctor and will have a cerclage placed at 12 weeks and do weekly progesterone shots starting at 16 weeks. I've had to use clomid to conceive both of the previous pregnancies so that is another added stress in this process. I've been told that it would be best if I did not conceive twins again. They don't know if my case was truly incompetent cervix or if it was a "twin thing". I'm just looking for some buddies, no need to have a similar situation.

Sorry for your losses. :(
I have incompetent cervix and lost my baby girl at 21 weeks last July because of it. I lost one baby before that at 13 weeks, they didn't know why. I got pregnant again this February but unfortunately had a miscarriage last week when I should have been 9 weeks. My doctor said wait one cycle then try when we're ready. I'm not sure how soon we will, though. I mean, I want babies so badly but my body has been through so much these last 18 months. And emotions, too of course. Who need having babies could be so hard?

Anyway, I know all about cerclages and everything incompetent cervix and I would love to be your buddy! :flower:

Hey now that I see your username, I think I remember you from last year! We chatted shortly after I lost my Selah.

I am so so sorry for your losses klabro and tcinks. :hugs:

My only loss was a first tri miscarriage last February. I have a healthy DS who is almost 22 months. Both of the pregnancies I conceived with Clomid.

I am now finally ready to start back on Clomid in hopes of getting our sticky bean soon. We plan to start next month, so whenever the witch arrives.

Hey tcinks-we did chat last year after you lost your Selah, I had also just lost my twins. I'm so sorry to hear of your miscarriage, hang in there. I know all too well the emotions involved. I'm coming up on the one year loss of my twins and I must say that having this year to mentally recharge has been so positive for me. Take all the time you need to recover. That way you'll know that you are prepared when you go into another pregnancy.

krissie328-so sorry for your loss, it doesn't matter what stage its at its all hard. I used clomid with both of my pregnancies as well.

I just called my doctors office this morning for an appointment to go in and talk about TTC again and they said their first available appointment was May 13, which was the day that I gave birth to the twins last year. Totally caught me off guard but I figure it is a good way to get a fresh start at it.

Looking forward to hearing more about you ladies and your journey. Thank you for the responses. Nice to have others to share with during this scary/exciting time.

That is quite an ironic day. I hope that it turns out to be a positive visit. :hugs:
