Ladies first of all let me apologize, i dont know where else to post =/
I am 17 weeks along with di/di twins. I had a routine OB appt on Thursday and when the Dr used the u/s machine to check heart beats she couldn't get a good picture of A, so she moved me to another room and a better u/s where we couldn't see a HB in A. She did quick measurements and baby B was looking very small (around 13.4 weeks) while A was measuring in about 12.5
I was sent to the hospital the next day for a "formal"ultrasound where it was confirmed that A has no heartbeat and did indeed stop growing at around 12.5, probably literally the day after my last US.
The good news is that B is measuring about 16 weeks, and is growing appropriately from the last ultrasound
I have had no cramps, no bleeding and since the borderline of second trimester was there (technically baby was over 13 weeks and both have measured a bit smaller due to being twins) Im being sent this week to a perinatologist to do a high risk assessment. The concern is that i could end up in preterm labor instead of carrying a single healthy baby, if the second twin doesn't absorb.
I was just wondering if anyone had a similar story and how it ended up, one way or the other
