Hiya
I suffer with blood pressure when not pregnant, but it's usually high end of low, sometimes borderline low.
since falling pregnant I've been really tired and get dizzy a lot. I've been putting it down to being pregnant, but my midwife seems a little concerned about my low blood pressure. Just lately though its been lower.
my last 3 readings were
94/58
86/55
86/53

I know the top one isn't too bad but i'm more concerned about the fact it seems to be getting lower. I don't see my midwife for another 3 weeks.
I was thinking maybe see how it goes and if its still quite low and I still feel quite dizzy then talk to her about it then, but I don't know if there is anything that can be done about it.

I would discuss it with your midwife again just to be sure

My last BP taken at 16 weeks was 90/60 so yours does seem low

:hugs: sorry not much help

I think i'm going to have too, today I just feel awful, the bottom on is from today.
I have a at home monitor so I can keep an eye on my blood pressure.

Definitely discuss it with the MW, I have been fainting due to low BP since about 12w and my midwife hasn't done anything about it :(

The numbers themselves are not a problem, it's how you feel. If you're fainting all the time that's not good. I'm not sure how much they can actually do for low bp in pregnancy though, other than making sure you're drinking loads?

I get dizzy daily and tend to feel faint a lot at work, last week while waiting for a bus I felt like I was going to pass out, I came all hot and dizzy and could feel myself claming up so had to quickly sit down.

I remember my mum saying she fainted all the time when she was pregnant with me! It sounds horrible. Are you getting enough to eat and drink, little and often etc?

I would discuss with MW hun, my numbers aren't too different from yours and mine said that it seems normal for me and if no dizziness or faintness then not to worry, but if that is happening then defo mention it to them x

Talk to your midwife hun. Mine usually sits at around 100 or 110/60. My midwife said she wouldnt want it to drop any lower than 100/60 but thats probs because I get super dizzy anyway x

I suffer from lbp naturally but it's been much worse since getting pregnant. My doc said that salting food, a little coffee, drinking loads of water, a good iron supplement, and exercise really helps. So far I think regular exercise has made the most difference. And it's the last thing I want to do when my heart is pounding, I'm dizzy and feeling zapped of energy all the time. Don't do it when you're feeling absolutely like you're going to faint but do work into a sweat if you can at least a few times per week. I was sick last week and missed all of my classes and my OB was a little shocked at my bp today - it was very low. But it's like that when I don't exercise - it's truly been a lifesaver!

My BP with DS was running at 70/45! I felt very faint and had to be very careful as it dropped when I stood up but there is nothing you can do except keep well hydrated. Its a horrible feeling but better than high BP and risk of pre eclampsia i suppose x

possible not, i'm always on the go so eat and drink when I can providing my nausea is not playing up as well

thank you ladies
defiantly going to talk to my midwife when I see her as got pretty dizzy again today. I hadn't long eating as well. the dizziness seems to becoming a daily thing and its not just once in a day.

I've got low bp aswell. The midwife had to take my bp three times this morning as she couldn't believe how low it was and said I'm surprised you haven't passed out. All she said was to go home have something to eat and a lie down if I feel dizzy. Easier said than done when you have a job and a child to look after. X

my midwife did it twice when I first saw her as she didn't believe it was so low. now she just dose it the once but still doesn't like it being so low.
yea the eating and having a lay down is a lot easier said then done, having 2 little ones and working really don't get the chance to.
I ended up having some lady keep talking to me on the bus today because she said it looked like ii was going to pass out. the bus was crowded and I was stood up holding my eldest, so needless to say it got rather hot x

I have very low BP all the time but with lo it was worse.
On one occasion the nurse joked was I alive at all.
Dizziness, tiredness, headaches the works.
Definitely agree with adding a little extra salt to your food.
Nothing seems to work for me.
It's just the way I'm built .

I hate adding salt to my food unless i'm cooking something from scratch. sometimes it will set of my ibs so don't usually add it to my food.
