Will a low BMI affect my chances of getting/staying pregnant? I've always been worried about it as I'm naturally very thin (5'4 and 95 pounds) and have trouble putting on weight, although I am healthy and my cycles are regular. Now that I am actually at the point of ttc it's been on my mind a lot lately and was wondering if anyone had any similar experience or advice?

If your periods are regular I don't seem why you shouldn't ovulate regularly either! I wouldn't worry, but since I know you will (human nature) just start using opks 18 days before your next period until you get a positive. 12-18 days before your next period is the normal range for ovulation... Cheap ones on Amazon and eBay! :)

You hear alot of rumours and myths that slight women struggle to carry or go full term dont you? That probably hasnt helped ease your mind.
(I feel anxious because im Plus size)

I would have a chat to your Gp if it is something that genuinely bothers you but as long as you are having regular cycles and you feel well / healthy then you should be just fine!

Im the other end of the scale hehe - losing weight and eating clean.. lost a stone and a half and im not giving up till I hit my target.

Good luck and all the best with your ttc journey.

The most important thing is that your cycles are regular and you are eating as well as you can. I'm also 5'4" and have been around 100 lbs since I was probably 14 years old (I'm 34 now). I also worried that I was "too thin" when TTC, but here I am, 10 weeks pregnant now! I think there's a difference in the health status of a person who is 100 lbs because they starved themselves to get there, and someone who is 100 lbs (or 95 lbs) that eats very well and happens to have a slight frame. "Healthy" can come in all shapes and sizes :flower: Good luck TTC! And eat lots of fat!

Im also very thin. Im 5'10 and 125lbs. Ive had a miscarriage at 5weeks. I've read online being too heavy or too thin can cause fertility issues but like the others said as long as you have a period every month then you should be fine. I would suggest temping and trying OPK's. Those will tell you when you ovulate. Good Luck!!
