So my partner and I have been TTC for just over four months. We ended up getting a BFP in August but it was short lived as we went on to miscarry.
On the very next cycle we ended up falling pregnant again and we calculated our ovulation by temping and charting to be Sept 4th. We got a positive on Sept 14th. (10DPO). We went in for our first scan on Oct. 4, which by LMP meant 6 weeks 2 days. The sac measured exactly but there was no baby The tech immediately told us that it was a blighted ovum and told us to do a D&C. Since I still felt pregnant we decided to just wait it out. On what should be 8 week + 3 days, I went to the hospital because I wiped and it was pink (TMI), they did a scan where the saw the baby that had a low heart rate of 80, and only measured 6 weeks 3 days. The doctor was reassuring and said that all babies grow at different times and that the first tech was very callous to just say that it was blighted ovum indefinitely. He said the heart rate may have been low because it could have just started beating. Anyone else had a slow grower that ended up carrying full term? Thanks in advance for your responses
