Hiya ladies, just wondering if anyone else has had some experience with getting tested for low progesterone. I was just doing a little reading up on it and I'm thinking it might not hurt to get my levels checked.
My temperatures are relatively low, AF is very light and short and my first (and only) pregnancy ended in MMC at 10 weeks.

Hi travel, first sorry about you mc. I had my progesterone levels drawn because my periods were dreadfully light after stopping bc pills. It was a simple blood test cd21/dpo 7ish. Not sure if low progesterone causes lower post o temps, maybe someone else could shed light on that. If they are related I would be happy since my temps this month are stellar despite a bfn :haha: I do not think it would hurt to get it checked just in case. Good luck!

If you have been charting ur BBT for many months and notice ur post-o temps r always close to ur coverline then yes that could mean ur have low progesterone. You have to do your BBT for a few months to really see that it happens every month.

When i was 17 my OBGYN did blood tests on me, due to other reasons, and found that I had low progesterone. Never thought much on it other then my periods were only 5 days with 1 day medium, 2 days light, and 2 days spotting (if much of anything).

When i wanted I child when i was 25 I didn't think much on it until i got my BFP at 10dpo. I went in that day to my doctor to confirm. I got my blood drawn and i told them. Give me progesterone. She rolled her eyes, and I told her that if i lost this child i will be blaming her. She gave me the pills, when i picked them up i asked the pharmacist about the side affects, he said it would cause my cycles to go irregular and my period would be stronger/worse. I laugh because i was pregnant, he said then it just provides a better cushion for the little one.

A month later i got a new OBGYN and took my blood test results with me. He said that me demanding that pill was the right thing to do. When you hit your 2nd tri you don't need them anymore your baby takes over from there.
