Low Sperm Count

hello there,

I have been TTC for the last 1.5 years and nothing is happening. So I went to the doctors and got all my pre conception tests done and everything was fine and I am ovulating like normal. The doctor said i had to get my Husbands sperm checked. So we did that and it came back that he produces <1 million We are still waiting for the results to see what shape they are in. I have a appointment tomorrow to go over everything and what our options are.

has anyone out there fallen pregnant in the same situation. It is so hard to not to loose it in front of my husband, i dont want him to see how much it is upsetting me as he would feel like a failure.

The doctor mentioned that we might have to do ICSI has anyone out there done this treatment and is there a good chance for us?

Sorry I haven't but there are lots of things you can try before your ICSI.
As men are continually producing new sperm every 3 months then simple steps can increase the count. A diet rich in zinc, selenium, vitamin c and arginine can increase sperm count. I have also got my OH on maca smoothies as studies have shown that maca can increase sperm count by 200%. Its great for us ladies too as it lowers stress and maintains a good hormonal balance.

hubby and i tried for 2 1/2 years to get pregnant. finally got pregnant and had a flipping miscarriage day after xmas 2010. wtf???? still trying and NOTHING! To find out hubby has low sperm count. Instead of his count/motility being in billions or even millions for that matter is was just plane oh 400 and 15 % motility...Will i ever get pg again. =o(

I'm sorry to hear the troubles you have been facing... Im new to this myself and have been finding it hard to deal with... to tell you the truth iv never cried so much in my life Im 23 and my husband is 25 ttc 16months 0 million sperm result with some abnormal seen.... waiting for next doc appointment with specialist to find out more.... i don't no whats worse low sperm or having to wait so dam long for answers.... To make it harder i have to sit back and watch my two best friends start their families and conceive the first month they try.
