My LO is 4 months old and her eyelashes lay right on her eye. Doesn't seem to bother her, but evil google has me worried about it now. Anybody else have any experience with this and as your LO got bigger did it correct itself?

Hmm my DD has long eye lashes but they don't lay on her eyeball. BUT we have had 2 very traumatic incidents where her bottom eyelashes have got stuck under her top eyelid, so about a dozen all folded in under the top lid. She screamed understandably. I think it's one of those freak things though as I've never known it happen to anyone else. I'm not much help, just rambling! Anyway, if you're at all worried or if her eye starts to look sore it might be worth getting it looked at, even if it just puts your mind at rest. Oh, and google as we know is always one to take with a pinch of salt :)

My LO eyelashes did this when she was little. They did correct themselves but best get it looked at with yours just incase as they can make there eyes a little sore.

Thanks girls, I have her 4 month appt on Friday so I'll see what the Dr. says. She usually blows off most of my concerns, so I already almost know for certain she'll say, "ohhh it's fine, nothing to worry about".

My son's lower eyelashes did this, and it never seemed to bother him. Never thought to google it as it didn't seem to be a problem. I haven't noticed it happening for a while now so I guess he grew out of it.

My sons lower eyelashes did this until he was about 6/7 months! It's their chubby cheeks! Once he ate solids, and less milk[its the sucking that gives them chubby muscly cheeks] then they slimmed down a bit and his eyes just popped! and all eyelashes slowly started to look more...normal! I swear it's normal :)

My baby girls cheeks have always been so chubby that they would push her lower eyelashes under so they are folded under against her eyeball. I just pull down on the skin below the eye and it pops out normal again. She still has this problem. I figure she will outgrow it.
