Well finally I have got a bit of time to sit down and write this!.
on 4th of January 4.30am I was staying in London at my OH's house I started to feel mild period like pains which seem to last 10-15 mins apart. I woke OH and we lay there while he stroked my back to try ease the pain, he asked if we should go to the hospital but I explained how I would just end up getting sent home due to the contractions being far apart. By about 7am the contractions were almost 5 minutes a part I sent my OH to work as I thought there was no point in him being home if I would be having mild contractions for some time. by about 9am the contractions were about 4- 3 mins apart and the pain was getting stronger I called my mum to explain that I wanted to get the train home as it was very important to me that my mum be at the birth of the baby and there was no way she would be able to if I was to stay here.
My mum insisted I stay where I was and ring Alonso (my OH) to come home and go to the hospital, me being as stubborn as I am said no! im coming home so I got ready packed my bag and walked to the bus stop by now my contractions were getting VERY painful so there is me sitting on a london bus contracting trying not to make any noise to draw attention to myself lol then I realised I had conpletely got on to the wrong bus that was taking me tp elephant castle and not euston DOH!. But eventually I got to euston and the pain was horrific again I sat on the train trying to hold in the fact that I was in labour lol. To cut a long story short I got home around 11.30am and waited for my mum who whisked me to MK general were I called my OH to take the next train down as the midwife said I was already 3cm dilated and wanted to keep me in as I was dealing with the pain very well.
They sent me up to a ward where I was being reguarly checked I went for a long bath which did not help the pain unfortunatly. A midwife checked me around 4oclock and said I was 5cm dilated and I should be transfered to labour ward. I was checked again at labour ward half hour after and told that infact I was not 5cm dilated I was still 3!. But the midwife decided to keep me in labour ward anyway. I pretty much had no pain relief as gas and air started to numb my face pethadine worked wonders all for about hour and half. my cervix was progressing very well and at 11.30pm I was almost ready to push so I could not have anymore pethadine. after 25 minutes of pushing Mr. Alejandro was born at 12.05am weighting 6lb 7oz I am totally in love and would do anything for this little life I have created the pain may have been too much to bare at the time but I would do it all over again if it meant I could have this little guy.
