Hi Ladies,

thanks,
A

I've done had a BFP yet, but I had my lap in July and tomorrow I have my first IUI. I had stage 3 endo, which was removed, it took quite a while for my to recover as I had lots of swelling as well as gas. They filled me so full and it felt like they didn't take any out before stitching me up.

Looking back, I waited a whole extra year, trying acupuncture, herbal medicine and allsorts in the hope I'd get pregnant. I really didn't want a lap. I'm now glad I did and wish I'd done it sooner. My AF is lighter and a little less painful and I generally feel healthier inside. They've given me a window of 6th months to get trying.

Discuss it with your doctor and see what they advise. I waited to long and as I said wish I'd got it sooner. Fingered crossed its helped!

hi, I just posted my story in another thread but it applies here as well so forgive me if you read it there!

We had been TTC for 3 years, towards the end of which I had lap surgery and endo was diagnosed and removed. I was then given clomid to maximise my chances. I was told the 6 months after the lap was my best chance. Anyway the Lap was the end of Jan 2010, I started clomid April 3rd 2010 it worked first round and my Little Man (William) was born first of Jan this year.

Hope that gives you hope. good luck. x

Hi ladies,

I dont have any feel good stories but I am booked in for a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy on Oct 12th. I have heard that alot of women have fallen preg after their lap and I am hoping it works for us.

Good luck to you soisyourface hope you get your BFP soon, do you have a date for your Lap yet?

I had a lap in July, and they found nothing significant. I am not yet pregnant.

Hello!
I don't have experience-I'm actually wondering if you will share some info with me! Forgive me if you have already posted the details and I haven't seen them. I have my first fs appointment next week and endo is something I've wondered about, mainly due to the amount of pain/blood I have (sorry tmi) combined with infertility. Did you ask to have the lap done or was it suggested? Is it something that took a few appointments first or was it decided right away? Hopefully you don't mind sharing, i have a lot of anxiety about the appointment and am trying to prep myself while making sure all angles are covered. :winkwink:

hi jennifer01, it took me a few appointments to be referred for lap surgery. The first appointment I was sent for a scan and bloods. These all came back fine it then took a few more appointments, I just pestered until I saw a fab GP who referred me straight away. The appointment with the specialist was about 4 weeks later and a month after that I had the lap.

I was classic for endo, pain, bleeding mid-cycle, infertility etc. And yet it still took seeing 3 different GP's (at the same practice) for me to be referred. Though I might add one of those is notoriously useless!!!!

My advice is don't give up, and if one GP won't refer you, go to another! I never asked for a lap, it just took 3 GP's before one suggested it.

the lap was suggested but my doc is a really laid back guy so he told me when i was ready. i decided agfter this cycle being hell again that i was ready so i am awaiting a call from him to schedule a pre-op discussion. my cycles are terrible same boat as you extreme pain and heavy clotty bleeding. i will continue to update everyone as things move along.

and daisy thanks so much for the positive feedback and congrats your little one is adorable!!! i hope i have the same luck after mine!
