Lump on/in nose

I admit that an article again today has made me wonder.

On one of my nostrils right before the bone the skin is harder, thicker and less flexible than the other side. It also sees to be lacking in blackheads/pores. It doesnt hurt or bleed. but if I try to 'flare' my nostrils its harder, if you know what I mean.

I want to get it checked at the docs but I am really worried they are going to think I am an insane hypo .

Is it painful? Expanding? It could just be a big pimple under the surface. It doesn't sound like anything to be too worried about but if your concerned i would have it checked.
