Lush products?

Hi girls,

Does anyone use lush products while pregnant? Are they safe?

I am using angels on bare skin cleanser and I read it contains Benzoin resinoid which according to dr Google isn't safe in pregnancy.

I think it is an essential oil, so presume that it would only be if you used it as a massage oil or something but I just wanted to see if others were using it and whether others even worry about this kind of thing. ( I worry a lot! )

I've used Lush products, i used happy hippy shower gel and american cream conditioner and ultimate shine shampoo bar... ummm sultana of soaps or whatever its called plus some other soaps!

I use this soap and the honey I washed the kids one aswell

I used to be a lush nut but then stopped when prices started going up but I have a lot of left over in my stash. Most of what I use is massage bars and whatnot. I too have wondered since they don't have any testing on animals and whatnot if they're safe while pregnant. I am going to assume they are, I use heavenilli on my tummy

I dont use them everyday, but throughout pregnancy ive used lush stuff every now and again...nothing has happened so id hazard a guess its ok (tbh id not even given it a second thought, just picked it up and used it), but if your worried stop using it for now...or take it and ask your midwife?! xx

I would use them whilst pregnant if I could!! even bubble bath gives me thrush so can't go near Lush products anymore.

I use snow fairy alot (I always stock up over Xmas haha) and the rockstar soap. Those are my favourites! I've also used shampoo bars and bath bombs. Alot of the stuff is natural so I don't really think it can be that bad?

But I agree with what one of the previous posters said... If you're concerned then don't use it. You will only worry about it and stress yourself out. But personally I'm a total Lush freak haha.

I love lush products!! A lot of them are vegan products and there not animal tested which I like (not saying Im a vegetarian or anything but its nice). I have some of the body wash right now that is in a jelly form I love it!! I dont use it often right now, but still use it

I work for Lush and while there are certain essential oils that aren't safe for use in pregnancy, there isn't enough of these oils in our products to do any harm at all!!

Just be careful getting out of the bath if you have something quite oily
