Luteal phase defect

Does anyone else have a luteal phase defect? I am very concerned. Nothing is fixing it. Are there any groups on here or anywhere else for members with the same issue? Usually my luteal phase is 9 or 10 days, but last cycle it was only 7 days.

I would make an appt with your doctor I know there's stuff out there that can help. Have you tried taking vitamin B 50 complex once a day? From my understanding it can help lengthen your luteal phase for some people. Other than that talk with your doc and hopefully you can figure things out :)

Hi there. I have a luetal phase defect. I discovered it about 3.5 months ago, we have been TTC for 6 months. My LP is between 5 and 7 days, the longest one I have had when I first started tracking was 10 days. So it has gotten shorter. I started taking Vitamine B6 3 months ago, because I read it can really help. I have a 21 day progesteron test on 12/30 which will tell me forsure if I have a LPD. I am hoping the B6 has kicked in by then. I will post my results. I also took Vitex for 1.5 months, but had to stop because I was spotting heavily during ovulation for 5 days, it happend twice! Then I had my shortest luetal phase ever - 5 days. I have read that vitex can be very helpful with a LPD, but it can also be worse for some women, which I am one. I felt like I spotted for a month and a half. Since I stopped taking it I have had no spotting and my body is ready to ovulate anytime. This month my ovulation symptoms have been stronger so hopefully the B6 is helping with my hormone inbalance. I hope this helps you. I don't know how long you have been tracking, but your doctor will want at least 2-3 months of tracking a LPD to see a specialist for medicine. They should do a 21 test anytime, it simple and easy to confirm. Temping is a good indication and OPK tests.
