A little of my back story... I have a ten year old that I conceived in three months with no complications. Fast forward, and I'm now 36 and have been ttc for a year. I got pregnant last September but it ended in a blighted ovum and miscarried in October. I haven't been able to conceive since then. My doctor just recently ran blood tests and my AMH is 2.5, so my age is definitely a factor. Now my question is, does anyone have any experience with taking maca root and/or CoQ10? What dosage did you take? Did you get a bfp? If so, did you stop taking the supplements? Any insight would be great!
I am sorry you are going through this. In case of low AMH, from what I read DHEA and/or mesotherapy treatment to ovaries (RPR/PRP) might be more effective. Hope this helps.
I've read a lot about maca root and success with other women. I gave it a shot last month and it's not for me. I think my hormones are pretty normal based on a blood draw I had done a few months ago. With the maca root, I had severe PMS (so bad I couldn't stand the person I was and was crying for my period to come so that my hormones might balance back out) and horrible acne. It reminded me a lot of when I was in birth control pills as far as the acne and mood. I didn't take it very long ago I'm hoping this month isn't so bad. I think I just have few eggs and if it's going to happen, it's going to be God's doing.
I read that CoQ10 wasn’t strong enough for 35+ so I bought Ubiquinol and got a BFP this cycle. Not sure on Maca roots, I didn’t have issues prior my youngest is 2.5, covid etc have affected my cycle and fertility. I had a chemical in August no success in September and since taking the Ubiquinol it seems to have helped, I gave my husband CoQ10 because it is also good for Cardio health which he’s struggled with since having covid.
