how can i make some nice christmas decorations, cant afford to buy lots of nice things but i wanna make christmas extra special this year for my parents and with time on my hands while nobody is in i thought i could make some, im pretty crafty i went to art school for a couple of years i just am having a complete babybrain moment and cant think of ANYTHING, any ideas what i can do??

Hmmmm - depends on the sort of supplies you want to use. You could make garlands / wreaths etc from pinecones/dried orange slices/cinamon sticks/holly etc. I guess you could also use those things to make tree ornaments too.

Maybe some handpainted glasses for the table or something? You could get plain baubles and decorate them yourself?

You can buy cheap christmas bulbs and decorate them yourself...or you can buy plain snowglobes and decorate the base too

this is a old thread but I want to re new it. you can make snowflakes with papper. . . Cardbord boxes in spare rapping paper looks good like fake prezies:)

everything white AND SHINY :) that is the only time of the year when I obsese over white lol. You can print of raindear. . . Colour them in with the kids. Cotton wool is real cheap looks great with glitter on . . . Aka shiny snow with not much mess can be held on with bluetack and quicktape. Holly holly holly. . . Every where I love holly and the berrys look so good. Oranges with cloves wow what a nice smell. Nothing beets it.

poundshop need I say more there not all tacky I love there lights why pay 10 pounds for lights /when for 2 pounds you can get two huge strings . . .

If you think about it everything can be christmas related holly like I said can be added to anything best thing is its free just need sisors. if your bored with normal holly take it out side with a pray can 'poundshop' any colour and go nuts we had black and gold holly last year. This year Im going black and red. please note Dont spray in doors spray stinks. And cant be to healthy. If you dont have a garden get little one out the house and oppen a window :)

Paper chains with glitter and bits on them allways make a nice change from the norm of just paper if your creative make them out of old rapping paper or stick pictures of you and baby or friends on paper than cut that out. Chains with a difrence.

Never neglect the loo this may sound odd but With all the good food and drink you will spend a lot of time on it. Rap holly round the bottom so when you walk in you can see it. not Actualy on the loo seat. . . That would hurt

Thanks, I dont need this thread this year as i know what im doing for my christmas decorations, But maybe someone else will use the suggestions
