make up 24 hours worth every night and leave in fridge. Chloe has them at room temp so going out has never been a problem
with so many ways to prepare the bottles i wanted to see what most of you do.,..
im in a bit of a dilema.. i usually sterilise 6 bottles.. boil the kettle and fill them up.. then add water to each as needed..
luisa then has it at room temp apart from her last feed between 10-12 which i warm up.. (in hope it will help her sleep!)
but the colief drops for her colief works better if left in warm milk for 30 mins before feeding!
the instructions say tht if you must make feeds in advance add to warm water then leave to cool the refridgerate..
but the HV doesnt reccomend this? but im sure alot of you girlies do it this way?
thanks in advance!
Lol sounds like I am the only one to make them as I need them
My hv said to boil the water and put in a thermos flkask to keep it at 70 degrees. I do that a couple of times a day and then can make the bottles up when needed
You should never make up water in advance and allow it to cool for too long, as the water needs to be boiling to kill off germs in the formula. The formula isn't sterile, and that's why you need to use boiling water that has cooled for no longer than an hour. Otherwise, there is little point in steralising.
The recommended way is make up the feed and refrigerate.

nope! I make them as I need them too. I also boil the water in a kettle and empty it into a jug and leave that at room temperature.
Never had a problem with this method and it seems the easiest.
Im so confused!!!!
So I boil the water... put it in the bottles then leave the bottles on the side. Then when shes hungry I take the bottle heat it a little then add the powder. Is this wrong?
