Hi Ladies,

Just after your opionions please.
When I had my son 3.5 years ago I used to make up 6 bottles in the morning and store them in the fridge and then heat them up as and when required, however, this time I wanted to boil the kettle in the morning, add the boiled water to steralised bottles and leave out until a feed is due and then I will add the required amount of formula and give it at room temperature.
Does anyone else do this?? I would like to know how many bottles you make in advance this way and how long you would leave them out for??

Thank you
Karenxxx

Hi Karen,

I made up six bottles with boiled water each morning and left out on kitchen counter each day and served at room temp. If the day was warm, I'd put them in the fridge and serve chilled but only as my LO got older.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for replying to me, as this one is due in October, hopefully i'll be able to leave them out everyday xxxxx

We used to make up 6 bottles in the morning and depending on what we were up to that day we'd either put the powder in and store them in the fridge (if we knew we were going to be busy or out and about) or we'd just fill them with water, screw the lids on and just add the powder when we were about to feed (if we were at home all day). I did warm every bottle though in the bottle warmer before feeding but that's just my personal preference :)

I do and I do 24 hours worth of water and add the powder when needed and serve at room temp xxx

The only problem with this is the water is supposed to be at least 70 degrees to kill bacteria as formula isn't sterile. X

Hello, I put the boiled water into the bottles then cover them and then I add the powder just before giving the feed. It's the way I have always done it with my boys and I have never had any problems. xx
