I ordered reusables for my twins, but only 6 nappies to start because i would like to try and make my own.
Is this possible? Is anyone doing this and how easy/difficult is it?
I would appreciate any help girls x

I'd love to have a go at this too, but I don't think I'm brave enough or confident enough in my sewing abilities! If I did decide to do it, I think I'd find a brand I liked, then unpick it and see exactly how it was made. I've just googled it and it seems like a lot of people do make their own. There's loads of links to patterns here https://www.ozclothnappies.org/links.html#sewing

I have tried, and my first attempt was horrible. I need to give it another go.

Here is a great resource.

they have a message board where you can ask questions.

I don't think I have the time or patience to make my own lol!

Good luck to you, let us know how it goes!

I showed the nappies to my mum and she says she could make them with no problem, she has the background experience, and is better at sewing them me lol
Now all i need is to decided what materials i want to use,i have the cotton fluffles from tots bots and i have to say i'm not a fan .. maybe fleecy ones are better?
I love bum genius and blueberry, but i've only seen pictures.

thanks girls x

Bamboo fibre is ideal if you can get it. It's naturally anti-fungal and anti-bacterial and so silky soft :cloud9:

you could try finding PUL fabric, I and another member have had some difficulty finding it in the UK at a reasonable price. I will be attepting my own and using micro fibre for the soaker pads, good luck xx
