Male Warrior/Mythology Names?

I always loved Thor (norse god of thunder) and Taranis (celtic god of thunder). I guess I have a thing for thunder :haha: Taran (means thunder) would be a lovely nn for Taranis :winkwink:

Here is a few. I'm sure you know these are not the cookie cutter baby names which is perfectly fine :) I tried to keep the ones that are for warrior or battles. Its a mix if Norse, Greek, Celtic, and Welsh gods and mythological names. Anyway hope they help :)

Odin
Alexander
(which Odin Alexander is a pretty good name)
Balthasar
Vidar (Son of Odin/ God of Silence and vengeance)
There is Thor (god of thunder) and Loki (Trickster God)
Ares ( God of war)
Arawn( God of Underworld, terror, war, and Revenge) I would think that is pronounced a lot like Aaron which means Strength.
Gwydion ( God of warriors/magic)

And, of course, Apollo. Which I love.

Odysseus (if we're just going for mythology and not gods)
Achilles
Ajax
Troilus (from Shakespeare)
Hector
Perseus

I have a cousin named Thor, it fits him wonderfully but I have to admit that before I met him it was an odd name to hear. But it works!

Evan/Bevan (Celtic - young warrior)
Alexander (defender)
Rainer/Raynor (deciding warrior)
Sloan (man of arms/warrior)
Orion (the hunter)
Adonis (Greek - lord)
Gabriel (Hero of God)
Alden (wise protector)
Theron (Greek - hunter)
Hagan (strong defense/defender)

Wow there are some really beautiful names in there. Our daughter doesn't have a "cookie cutter" name either so we are just fine with that. :)

I always liked Maximus. :) The only one I can think of.

Osiris
Troy
Triton
I love, love, LOVE Thor!
