Any one else getting maleware warnings coming here now?Now there are 4 virus trying to get in my comp each time i come here I get warnings.

I've not had a problem. Could it be that you already have an infection which is bothering your computer? Have you tried using something like 'No Script' as extra protection for your computer? Its free and allows only parts of sites to show, often blocking out ads and pop ups. You control how much it allows. :flower:

nope just when I come here and every page I go to here it comes up. Its attached to this site. No pop up adverts any more though just that.

Can you get a screen shot for me? SC said that the chances are it's just a warning and related to an image in someone's signature/post hosted on another site. We can block images so a screen shot will help us identify it. SC also said the chances of you getting anything dodgy from an image are slim to none.

Those alerts can be a nightmare they make you think there's more harm than there actually is (which usually doesn't even exist in first place).

Its the virus scanner I have alerts me but will screen shot when it happens again, should be soon.

heres screen shot

Hi Dragonfly,

What page were you on when that came up? The problem with dialog boxes like that is it only gives file details, not where it came from. Not sure what info is shown if you press the details button(?)

So I can investigate, could you link me to the page you were on, and if you can screenshot the details behind the 'details' button it would really help. Ta :)

My link takes me right in to my user cp so I think it was there and earlier every page I had done it to. Here is the details as I still had it opened.

I HAVE BEEN GETTING THIS TOO!!!!!! my computer keeps blocking it I think it is from an ad on the site and NOT anyone's pictures/etc for the simple fatc it only happens when browsing the forum and not when I click into a forum topic here is my attached photo of what my virus protector said! I have not had any problems prior to this but it has happened since the update - any new ads since then???

I just got the exact same message as LittleBoSheep from AVG when I clicked on the homepage link from google.

These situations do come from images, banners, etc usually but I won't claim to know  If you believe an ad is the problem then please take a screen shot of the page your on at the time of the warning with this ad showing so we can put your mind to rest!

ATM I am stuck I don't have the tech mind or words and my OH is usually one to help me however all my family have been sick this last couple of days and now he's the one in bed. I will try and see if I can get someone else to add a more professional explanation/solution in the mean time.

As you see from the following link BabyandBump is safe:
https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=babyandbump.com

If you experience this issue again could you please report back with the following:
Could you please provide the page (link) you were viewing when this happened
Your location

Thanks :D

I've also had a similar problem, I have visited this site twice in the past few days and both times I'm unexpectedly directed to a page that claims to be searching my computer for virus'
I've seen this before on other websites, it's a scam to try and get people to download fake anti-virus protection, I'm just concerned because I wouldn't expect it to come from a site like this unless someone has hacked into the site somehow.
It seems to be on a timer because I can't recreate it, it gets me when I don't expect it but I will get a screenshot if I can next time it happens,

BabyandBump does NOT ask you to download any software let alone fake software.

A screenshot of your issue would help us to help you.

I've gotten the same thing as Oobies... it redirects you to a new page and says its scanning your computer and trys to get you to download fake anti-virus stuff. I dont believe its based on any content on the page because I can just jump back to my page and its fine there and I can surf from there on out. I don't believe its triggered by any of the regular content, might be triggered by an ad. I'll try to screenshot it next time it happens.

Could be an ad is the offender :D

A screen shot always helps us.

I've been getting this and it is a big scam. They put on your computer and it keep reappearing unless you pay them to take it off your computer. It is a virus. My husband had to use Malware to remove it. It is down in the paranormal section...
