So sorry I haven't updated! I didn't do Valentine's pictures, things have been busy. I've been slacking A LOT in the camera department. I was just telling a friend on facebook my camera has basically been collecting dust these last few weeks. If anyone is on my facebook I'm sure you're able to tell I haven't been posting near as many pictures lately. I probably only post 2 every two weeks when I used to post every day!
I had a looksie through all of your photos, they're all looking great, and I can definitely see some improvement in some of them. Plus all the subjects are absolutely stunning.

I've been going back and forth on deciding whether to get a new camera. We've saved up for one but I can't bring myself to buy it yet. Haha, it's a lot of money so now I'm thinking maybe I'm not as invested in this yet to get such a nice camera. I guess we'll see as time goes on.

I was going through some old photos of Lilly and I found this one that I took a few weeks back and never got around to editing. It's not the BEST photo because it was extremely overexposed and so I tried my best to balance it out which made the quality suffer. I also converted it to black and white because it sort of helped the exposure, in color it was just TOO bright. Plus I like the way the black and white turned out.
Hope you guys like it. I absolutely LOVE this picture. Even though it's not the best quality I think I'm going to print it out and frame it.

Took a non-Callum picture today! Took a picture of my second favourite thing to photograph....tarantulas! haha I'll put it in a spoiler in case there are people who don't want to see.

She's a Grammostola rosea, also known as Chilean Rose Hair tarantula. She was wild caught so we don't know how old she is, but if I had to guess I'd say she's at least 15 years old. She pretty much just sits in the same position all day. They're affectionately called 'pet rocks' in the tarantula hobby. Anyway, here she is!

Hi there,
you all take such great photos!!
my husband brought me a new camera for christmas and im still trying to figure out how to work it lol
its a cannon rebel t3i, i just have the kit lens on it, but what lens would you recommend to shoot babies and children with? i want to try and achieve the blurry background you all have. at the moment for indoor photos im on the AV mode with the aperture at the lowest number on the lens which is 4.0, and its in fluorescent light mode, is there anything else is should put it in for indoors?
sorry i am a newbie at DSLR's but im very interested to learn

Oh a photographer thread! I will post some of mine but I'm on my phone right now.

I have a sony a37k with the kit lens, a Sony 50mm prime and sigma 70-300mm macro lens. I love the prime lens does such beautiful portraits.

I hate changing raw to jpg, my ancient Photoshop can't read the Sony version so I gave to convert to dng and it takes forever
