Maternity Allowance question

I have posted a thread same to this one in Pregnancy Club, with no luck! I'll try it here.

My Oh sent it off for me last week to save my time sweet of him.

Anyway, reason why I filled this form because my employer cant pay me, due to that I don't work enough hours to claim the SMP. I have rung the MA dept because I don't understand the test period, so they have helped me and explained that I have left the work on Maternity leave on 2nd Aug, they said they will backdate it for me.

So.... How long will they process it and reach to my bank?

mine took ages to come through,it took that long that i ended up with a backdated payemebt of nearly £800!x

I have phoned back, cuz they have tried to phone me at home. They wanted to know if I left work, i told them yes I have as my maternity leave already started in Aug, but somewhere on the form it says in Sept :O it must be my pregnancy brain but told them it is definitely Aug! They will now starting the processing the claim for me but unfortunately that currently there is a huge of backlogs at MA at the moment and it will take up to 4 weeks for them to go thru, also very good thing is that they will backdate for me!!

I sent off my form on 30th July and got my first MA payment yesterday (£246.12) - will be getting it every 2 weeks.
