maternity allowance

Hello, looking for advice for how and when i can apply for MA. Im pretty sure i am not eligble for SMP as i only started in august.
I am also only contracted till end of april and due beg of may and have been strongly suggested that they will not renew my contract.
Anyway, how and when should i start looking at MA and does it affect that i wont be in work?

When did you fall pregnant hun, you only have to have worked somewhere for about a week before falling pregnant to get SMP x

Hmm it's hit and miss as I don't know my lmp but when we dtd (sorry!) And conceived it was beginning of Aug and I started 11th aug. I know my dates are roughly right as they are similar to ds1 who had a similar dd and we conceived at roughly same time of the year. I didn't know it was that close, i always thought it was a month
My next appt is 28 weeks so will get my matb 1 then x

Depending on what your due date is will determine whether you are eligible for smp.
