So I have all my 13 weeks wage slips to send to the Job Centre. I called them last week to make sure I was sending the correct things and they asked if I was sending the highest paid weeks which I am (approx £270 per week) I then mentioned a pay from my prev employer which I got in one month which was about 6 months salary in one month, she told me to send that payslip in too as my MA would be worked out at 90% of what I'd earned (adding all the amounts up and dividing by 13) - I assumed that the minimum you get is £128 per week - you only got 90% if it was lower?

Can someone tell me?

You're right. It's £128 per week, or 90% of your earnings. Whichever is lower.

Hi,

There are two kind of benefits available for ladies who are going for maternity leave,
1. Statutory maternity pay
2. Maternity allowance

Maternity allowance is 128.73 per week.
For complete information regarding above two, please see the link

I have a question too:

Is Statutory Maternity Pay all made up from one job or can you be employed by 2 places and gain it?

I work one place where I get 100 per week (just short of the SMP scale) so if I got another job somewhere else for 1 day per week and earned that extra 50 quid, would I get SMP or does it have to all come from one employer?

Thanks
x
