Okay - so I've seen a few threads about how Sloooowwww these last few weeks are going so figured we could start a list of stuff we can do to take our minds off the symptom spotting....

This is whats on my list so far, definately need more ideas!

  • Make a photo album of this year so far
  • Fill in the pre-birth bit of my baby book
  • Knit baby a little jumper
  • Try 3 new recipes from my jamie oliver cookbook (that I never get round to have time to cook from!)
  • List maternity clothes that I wont wear on ebay (so I can go shopping and buy some new winter boots!)

I start my maternity leave next week at 29 weeks (Due to SPD), and I am going to be bored so much!

I'm going to make an effort to go to the pool and bob about in the small pool.

I'm thinking abouot doing a short course, perhaps guitar or german, dunno yet.

And baking - I seem to be enjoying baking at the moment :)

Other than that - Facebook I expect haha

Good thread, i dont work but need some ideas to fill up the next 11 week :)

Filling in the before birth bit of baby book sounds fun

xxx

Oh another... I'm practising meals in my slow cooker and other meals that can be prepped any time and then just put in the oven when needed ready for after baby is here xx

I have been knitting, sewing, cross stitching & cleaning to pass the time :)

I don't finish until i'm 38 and a bit weeks so I'm gonna catch up with some telly!

Ha - but looking around my house I might still be painting!!!! (My house renovations that should have been finsihed two weeks ago aren't)

Ideas for keeping boredom at bay:
-Shave legs (That took me a long time last night - infact just getting out of the bath took up some time!)
-Write baby a letter! (That was my OHs idea - quite impressed)
-Go for walks
-Chat on babyandbump! Ha
-Visit your nan/grandparents?!

I think thats it from me. . . .

Ohh for the leg shaving fun n games, have you tried the new razor with the block of soap on it? I have found that to be a bloody god-send - I cant reach anything and struggle to bend because of my SPD, so that razor has been brilliant for me.

Nope not tried it! Might look out for that thanks for the tip!

I kept soaping up my legs and then droppping them in the bath and washing it off - how annoying! Ha.

I struggle to bend without SPD so good luck there hun!!!!

Yeah see it takes away all the faffing of applying of lather etc, you just wet yourself (lol) and run it up and down. It takes away so much hassle.

I find them a bit pricey and they dont last as long as I think they should but definately they make life easier.

Liking the slowcooking - going to add that to the list!

Yay - You have sold it to me!

hehe sorry I wasnt trying to flog it to you. But funny enough I am a regional sales manager, I think I sell when I'm not even trying to haha

But to be fair, I really do like this razor. And have found it to be a bit of a life saver. I've taken to buying the 3x refill packs now instead of a whole new set up, that seems to work out a bit cheaper I think.

and I am that person who buys everything! Sweets at the counter, anything recomended really, impulse buys the lot. I am a sales persons dream!
I must remember you - OH is always saying I am an impulsive person and you know what I've just googled the razor coz I want it now!! Ha ha!

I'm going to pain the woodwork in the nursery and help hubby set up his photography business. I'm going to set up a Facebook and twitter page and do some telesales to generate some business. I also have 3 chick flicks to watch!

I will also do a little bit of housework every day and iron dh's shirts!

Without this I'd be sooo bored!

hehe I can be just as bad..my OH has calmed me down a heck of a lot inthe past couple of years though. Though I nearly bought him a classic car the other week - ffs, thats my maternity leave money I'm saving up but ohh it was such a nice MG :D

lol I dont think you'd like what I sell - I sell biocide chemicals into pharmaceutical cleanrooms! unless you have a spore or fungal issue? lol

I am making a patchwork baby playmat x

Ah thats the problem we're having, I have my company car that I keep till Jan, hubbys got his, and 2 sporty little 2seater jobbies that he keeps to 'shine and look at'..so when mine goes back Im stuck with a 2 seater..and 2 kids. hmm

Your plans all seem so exciting!

At the moment, I've spent the last few days washing and ironing bubas clothes, sorting the nursery and playing Sims3. :haha: I feel this routine will have to change (once the nursery is sorted) in the next few days otherwise I am going to go insane!
