Finishing work at 37 weeks and counting down the minutes.... have no fears really about being bored! On my list is:
- getting excessive amounts of (broken by needing a wee of course!) sleep
- cooking nice meals that I never have time for (also from my Jamie Oliver cookbook!)
- have a lovely clean house (rather than one that gets a sparkle at the weekend and quickly falls into disrepair until the next!)
- take cats to the vet
- get car serviced and MOTd
- possibly buying an older version of Photoshop Elements and learning some superior photo editing skills
- sorting out all the photos on the computer - bcking them all up and actually getting some developed to put in frames around the house (we have none, not even of our wedding )
- Continuing that theme, have loads of pictures/paintings etc we've never got round to hanging - may get my retired dad around and direct him about with his hammer!
- buying some cheesy boxsets like Glee and indulgently spending hours watching episodes back to back and eating whatever I want (for the last time for a long time!)
- if I get round to it would really like before LO is born to write up a load of my thoughts/ideas on the sort of parent i'd like to be on all sorts of silly topics (teenage drinking / boyfriends etc etc) before I lose all perspective and decide I can never let them out of my sight
- make a big early dent in my xmas shopping (even if mostly via the sofa/online)
- just curl up and read a load of easy-reading girly books as haven't had the chance in ages
Starting to think I'm going to need to start my maternity leave before 37 weeks . Knowing my luck baby will arrive at 37+1 and that will be that!
