is there any type of cloth nappy that you dont have to faff about with inserts and stuff? Like a cloth version of a disposable, just straight on & off.

Thanks to certain girls on my facebook (Katy, Jen, Claire, Kristen to name a few lol) i am in love with fluffy bum nappies but cant get my head around wraps, inserts etc..

There is!

They are called All-In-Ones (AIOs). They go on in one piece, wash in one piece and dry in one piece...

popular AIOs....itti bitti AIOs  They're nice colours and minky outer so are 'fluff'

Theres loads of others but its late and my brain is minced from a day of a teething 4 month old

:flower:

Lol that kinda makes sense with an all in one being one piece. Silly me.

I am officially going to blame you girls for me spending pennies!

Just watch out for nappies that call themselves AIOs but are actually all-in-2s. If they mention a snap-in soaker/insert, they'll be an AI2, which is a bit more hassle but not much :)

I was going to suggest Hybrids - you can buy disposable inserts for them. I'm using the Grobaby/Grovia system (haven't got any disposables for them yet though) which gives you the option to use fabric snap in soakers, or disposable ones which you obviously just chuck away like a regular disposable (and then you can reuse the cover if it's not dirty):

I actually prefer the idea of using prefolds and covers to AIOs, the AIOs have to be changed and washed every time...the prefolds you put for wash and then reuse the covers. :)

yep all in ones hun :)

I don't get these. Surely, if you have to still use a sposie it defeats the purpose both environmentally and ethically? They just look like sposies with a pretty cover, still landfill.

Sorry if that comes across as argumentative, I just genuinly don't see the point in them when instead a sposie and some knickers would have the same effect.

^ I kinda agree, that's why I don't use them :) Xx

Char- I wrote a thread which might help you out, I'll go find it for you xx

the only downside is some all in ones can take and age to dry. so you do need a tumble dryer really.

the grovia system has the option of a sposie insert they tend to come with washable inserts. but the material of the sposie insert is similar to an eco sposie

Is it okay to tumble AIOs? I've been scared to incase it affects the PUL? xx

^WSS! :winkwink:

GroVia BioSoakers are an all-natural, one-size disposable diaper alternative

They're compostable and so on....not 100% ideal though, which is why I'm only planning on having a box around eventually for when we're out and about for long periods of time (even in most situations like that, I'll have a travel wetbag handy, so don't intend to use them all the time)... I was just thinking, if it's a case of convincing the OH that cloth isn't so bad, it's a good place to start! :winkwink:

xx

I was really confused by the sposie insert in the groVia too!

Char,I'm all about the BumGenius V3's.

If you wanted to go down that route babe I'd happily let you try one of mine out but we'd have to suss out postage and stuff :) Xxxxx
