McDonalds Sweet Tea

One of my friends gets a sweet tea from there twice a day! I think it's gross! I like my tea with no sugar which is odd because I love love love soda!! Sweet tea totally is a southern thing. When I lived up north, no one had even heard of it really. You had to put sugar in it yourself. Down here they have it premade with tons of sugar! I remember making it when I worked at Starbucks. It was like a liter of tea with six cups of sugar in it or something like that!

yes ma'ma it is! Sweet ice tea is so good!!:happydance: i wasn't much of a "Coke" fan before being preggo i dont like bubbly drinks! i like water and juices teas lemonade! yum yum but NOW my fav Coke is DR.Pepper (my DH LOVES dr.pepper ) this is SO my DH child every thing my DH loves to eat i now LOVE to eat!

ENGLISH PERSON IN THE ROOM!! :dohh:

Can I just ask, is SODA just a generic word for any kind of fizzy drink in the US?
We dont say "soda" in the UK. We have lemonade. Cherryade. Orangeade. etc.
When you go to a bar, or whatever, and just ask for a "soda", what do you get?
Sorry, im being thick I think. Just always wondered! haha :dohh: :dohh:

we i dont call its "soda" i call it "Coke" but thats just a Texas thing. my grandma who lives up northing in south Dakota calls it "Pop" wired.

haha this thread is awesome. Back up north we called it pop, down south in FL it's called soda and in other places in the south they call it coke.

I suppose if you ordered just a soda at the bar they would ask what kind and if you wanted booze in it :P If I wasn't preggers I'd have me a Tanqueray and Sprite :)
