I'm a first timer and my baby has measured a week small since the beginning. Does this mean I will probably go past 40 weeks?

Have you measured small, but went into labor early?

Not necessarily. Lots of babies are born early or on time, a little smaller than others!

My daughter was always measuring small as well. At my 37 week apt my dr thought it was best to take her out early as it seemed she wasn't growing much. I was induced the next day and she was perfect :) all babies are different!

I was measuring a week behind and he arrived only one day late.

I've always measured small in all 8 of my pregnancies, generally 3 weeks behind sometimes more, I've never made it to my due date, they've been born between 35 & 39 weeks

My DD was measuring almost 4 weeks behind by my due date (on fundal height) but was born at 41 weeks. Big babies, small babies and babes measuring perfectly on time can come early or late, so I would say anything is possible (they do like to keep us guessing the little rascals!)

I was induced almost 3 weeks early with my second because she was measuring behind xx
