Hi Ladies! I'm just wondering if I can get any input or shared experience which the outcome of my scan yesterday! :flow:

I had an emergency scan yesterday-Doctor thought I might have ectopic- ANYWAY, I don't and what we saw instead was a baby measuring 6w3d (I was 7w yesterday-possibly 6w6d or 6w5d at the latest). And the heart rate was 96-98bpm... I asked the tech if that was low, and she said that "it can be low", but that is all she said  She said she saw nothing to indicate a concern on the ultrasound, but obviously, I did my research, and found that anything under 110 is considered low for a heart rate -is it possible my baby stopped developing at 6w3d and the heart rate is slowing to a stop?

Does anyone have any stories-positive or negative-to share??

I am trying to stay positive, as I know it could go either way, but I do have my moments of worry :(

I heard the heartbeat starts off pretty slow, and gets faster each week. 6 weeks is pretty early, so maybe the heartbeat just needs another few days to get faster? I really don't know, but I wish you the best!

My last pregnancy babies heartbeat was about80 at 6 weeks and at its highest was 179! Normal at this stage.

I'm sorry your in limbo land. It's possible the hearts only just started beating and it starts off low. There's also the other scenario :(

Got my fingers crossed its the first one xx

research means google... so dont! google is the enemy!! the nurse said she didnt see anything to worry about so TRY to take that for what its worth :) i know thats hard. i wish you all the best and a very happy and healthy 9 months!

I can't say. The only time that had happened to me was when I had a m/c but I had went to the hospital with bleeding and cramping and HR was only 91 and I m/c the next day. I would ask if they can get bloods and redo the scan in a week to be sure its rising as it should be

When I had my 6 week ultrasound, I would have been about 6+2 or 6+1 - it was 96(heart rate). Dr said it was completely normal, and if I went back in in even 2-3 days, it would be 120+ likely. He told me they normally don't scan people that early and I was really early - possible heart just started beating.

The scan measured me at 5+6 plus or minus 4 days. LOL I found that funny, so I was right in there though. I'm sure it has something to do with implantation timing some happen earlier than others - so don't sweat it. :):flower:

At 6w2d, my baby was measuring 5w6d. The heart rate was 95. Baby's heartbeat now is in the 140s when it's sleeping and up to 160s when it's active. Don't freak out, hon. The baby's heartbeat begins during the 5th week and rises by about 3 points each day. As long as there is a rise in heart rate, that's what matters. And the fact that you saw the heartbeat is a very good sign!

My sons was 102 at 6+2 by 8 weeks was 157. And this baby measured 8 days behind, so depends on ovulation, and hoe long baby takes to implant, and some are just faster/slower growers at first and catch up
