I just had a checkup today at 21 weeks and was measured for the first time - I measured 26.5 weeks! With my first baby I always measured right on for dates. This baby was the right size at my 18 week ultrasound and I'm pretty sure my uterus was bigger this entire pregnancy (was at my belly button at 16 weeks vs 20 weeks last pregnancy). Has anyone else measured normally with their first and been big with subsequent pregnancies? My doctor is doing another ultrasound in 3 weeks to check the baby's size (and hopefully if I have too much amniotic fluid). I am bigger than last pregnancy but I thought it was normal to be bigger with 2nd pregnancies. :dohh:

Wow that's quite a bit ahead! I'm on baby 3 but my uterus has always been measuring normally as far as I know with all my pregnancies. Your pretty early on for the baby to already be a chunkers, so I've really got no input on what the cause could be. Strange! Its odd they didn't measure the uterus earlier? I have always had it checked each and every visit.

Yeah - my doctor doesn't start measuring until 20 weeks so this was my first measurement. They didn't even feel it before. To me, it felt like it was much bigger than last pregnancy the entire time, which makes me feel a little better since everything looked normal at my 18 week ultrasound. If I continue on this trend I can't imagine how big I'm going to get at the end! What would a 10.5 month size belly even look like!?

I am measuring 6 weeks ahead and I am a ftm. At 23 weeks I measured 29.

I was measuring 4 weeks ahead, but my ultrasound shows baby only a week ahead. Who knows!
