hey girls.
I know this question has been asked a load of times before so i hope to answer it. At the moment i am full of flu and generally feeling pretty pants. Yesterday i got my mum to go to the pharmacy and get me some kind of cold medication (like day nurse) but warned her not to tell them i was breastfeeding as they won't give anything buy glycerin honey and lemon (from my experince). Anyway, she came back with these tables called Contac. They're pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. They're basically a slow release tablet so you're only required to take 1 in morn and 1 at night and can top them up with paracetomol if required. My mum told me she had enquired at the pharmacy what a breastfeeding mother could have
and the duty phramcist gave her these. So if you've been feelin poorly or got hayfever it maybe worth looking into them. They are quite pricey though, £3.35 for six tablets in Sainsburys. I wouldn'y say the effect is as noticeable as regular medication (day nurse etc) is but it has taken the edge off it.
Sorry if that's a bit rambled, my heads a bit buzzy!
