What are some cold medicines that are safe to take which breastfeeding?

i think most say consult a doctor first i just have a hot lemon tea with spoonful of honey and a couple of paracetemol x

None really at that age. talk to your pharmacist. Most of the time they recommend a plain saline nasal spray, pain medications and some basic cough drops.

If your symptoms are just intolerable or you have other duties you simply have to do i.e. other children, they may be able to recommend you something.

But I think given the age of your LO that you might just be stuck with the basics.

I agree you may want to be very careful with a LO so young, but I've used this website for a lot of breastfeeding info:

https://kellymom.com/bf/can-i-breastfeed/meds/cold-remedy/
It has a list of cold remedies.

Kellymom was a useful resource.

You can take ibuprofen while breastfeeding, I find it more effective than acetaminophen for pain and for fever reduction, and for pretty much anything.

You can take psudophederine, but it can dry up your milk supply so only use when necessary.

Those two are pretty much what I take when I'm sick, only not the psuedophederine unless I absolutely have to.
