Mei Tai carrier

I seen the topic imace posted where she's made her own Mei Tai carrier and it looks great and i was thinking of making one as i have a sewing machine, but could i make one before the babys born, or would it be best to wait and make one after shes born? and can newborns go in them? i think it might be too cold for outside but maybe i could wear her inside

i would think it would be fine to make one now. meira has been in one since 5 weeks old, she loves hers, she's a big baby (9lb6 at birth and currently 15lb13 now 24 inches long) so the one i have is not long enough for her head to stay in. i love the mei tai and am happy i got one. just make sure to double or triple stitch the seams.
