Yes!! I find mints or fruity sweets help and mints seem to help nausea too. Figured if it works for travel sickness then I would give it a go!! It's a horrible taste I totally sympathise
I use ginger candies. I find mine at our local health food co-op. The metallic taste is from acid reflux and ginger is great for digestion! As long as you like ginger, lol. Otherwise, u could try tums.
