Metformin and Zantac (Rantidine) together?

Hello Ladies,

My OB/GYN gave me metformin for GD a day ago and I have not taken it yet since I am on Zantac and read that those two can have an interaction. My OB/GYN hasn't answered if it is okay to take with Zantac yet so I am nervous about it but they know I use Zantac which they have listed as Meds I take and have since I have been 14 weeks pregnant. Does anyone currently take Metformin and Zantac together with no issues?


Edit to say: I tried taking just Tums today but it is impossible. The Acid reflux is at an all time high
