Metformin

Hi there ladies!!

I have just started metformin about 2 weeks ago. I started on 500mg and day and im now up to 1000mg a day.. although the dose goes up again tomorrow to 1500mg!

So after about a week on 500mg and half a week on 1000mg I started my period on my own!! Is this a good sign? It lasted about 6-7 days. Its stopped now but wondering if im not going to be fertile and ovulate?? When I was with my previous partner I had metformin in the same doses and I lost some weight and had a natural period every 29-35 days!! Which is good considering I never have them naturally?? Was it possible I was ovulating?? Im on cycle day 8 now an nervous what to do next but excited because I can count my days.

I too was on metformin, actually I still am! Iv been on it for just over 3 months. Yeah I heated metformin does help regulate the system and it does help a little with weight loss or shall I say maintain weight.

Sounds like a positive sign for you, that you started bleeding, maybe it's doing you good

Hi Sarah it sounds like it is working for you!
I started 500mg metformin 3 days ago and it's already making me very sick.
I have regular periods and I ovulate on my own but my doctor still prescribed me metformin. I hope it does some trick. But I am ovulating soon so maybe nothing will happen this month.

Today I have had pains/camps on and off sharp ones and my cm has gone watery and slippery only on cd10 too!!
