Finally I have a minute to write my birth story.

My waters broke on at 12pm on the 14th July I had been up most of the night with niggly cramps sore but bearable. I rang the labour ward & because I was carrying too much fluid they told me to come straight up. I was admitted & carried on having pains & gushing lots of fluid for the rest of the day. The next day I awoke to major pain & was rushed to the delivery suite where things got scary & happened so fast. The trace on Mia's heart became irregular & I had pushed her out before I even knew it. I knew something was wrong because she was whisked away instead of put on my chest. A team of doctors & midwives were working on her & I had a kind of panic attack & was violently sick. Thankfully after a very long 5 minutes they finally got her breathing and about 30 mins later I got to hold my precious liitle girl for the 1st time.

Sorry the details are a bit sketchy but things happened so quickly even though I was in established labour for 19 hours I was only pushing for 7 minutes!!
