Anyone used daktarin Miconazole for really bad vaginal thrush. Doc has given it but box sex not to use if pregnant, help I'm worried. I'm 14 weeks pregnant. Thnx inadvance xxx

i have heard that you can't use it when pregnant as it softens the cervix...i would call and make sure exactly of what they want you to do and ask them about what the box says

Well that's weird cuz I hav a weak cervix and need a stitch so y wud they give me a cream that softens the cervix. Ok now I'm confused and stressed. Forget it I'm jus guna use canestan cuz I'm only guns get it again in 2 weeks. Thnx nway for reply. X

USE CANESTAN !!!!!
and use it aggressively - every 2-3 days.
You MUST be free of thrush before they put a stitch in.
I wasnt and lost my baby at 22 weeks from candida sepsis after candida infected my stitch that i had at 15 weeks due to incompetent cervix. Also would advise taking oral fluoncazole (personal decision as contraindicated in first trimester) on the day you have your stitch.
If you have candida active, then they put a foreign body in down there - the candida will thrive.
I am not on my second pregnancy and had a stitch at 14 weeks (with fluconazole and canestan) and put canestan in every week now.
