Middle name for Fern

Hi ladies! Would appreciate some input. We haven't really given girl names much consideration as we are both pretty sure baby is a boy. But I'd rather be prepared, just incase! We have decided on the name Fern.

So now a middle name! I was keen to use a family name but I don't think any of them really work. Our surname is Beattie.

The only family names we would use would be Fern Carrie or Fern Helen, but I don't feel either of those really flows well, what do you think?

you could use varients like:

Caroline
Carilyn
Cara
Carabel
Carena
Carinthia
Helena
Ellen


or you could combine Carrie and Helen into Caren?

I think a slightly longer middle name would flow nicely with fern being quite short.

I really like Helena out of the suggestions
