Midwife episode appointment?

Just had a letter from my local hospital saying that I need to go in for a midwife episode appointment when I'm 10 weeks, does anyone know what this is??
I've already seen my MW and been told by her that I won't see her again til I'm 16-18 weeks.
I need to book my 12 week scan in after my next early scan has been done at 8 weeks.

So what is this for???

Letter says it will take 1 hour to 1.5 hours. Is it because I had pre eclampsia and a c section with DD?
Didn't get anything like this last time?!

Did you do a full booking appointment and fill in all the paperwork in an appointment that tool 1-1.5 hours last time, or was it just a quick appointment?

It was a 30 minute app, filled in all paperwork, got given blood forms etc

I'd call and ask. Could be a computer/clerical error. IIRC you had an earlier appointment cos you were unwell in your 2ww? Maybe the computer automatically generated the appointment when you dating scan was booked.

I'll call and check. Dating scan isn't booked yet. I had an early scan at local EPAU which is at a different hospital
