Might be a dumb idea...

im being induced so i get to at least go in lookin good lol And once I get the epidural I know i wont be in pain and can lightly spackle (lmfao, my term for doing touch-ups)

Spackle...do you use the old lady foundation?? Thats what I used to call it when I actually wore anything but eyeliner and mascara.

Having a pedicure for sure! I'm probably going to get my hair highlighted coming up here shortly - needs done badly. Assuming it happens during the day and not the middle of the night I should have a little makeup on and my hair done already. :D

I just want to have my legs shaved!! I had my second son a week early and wasn't expecting to go into labor yet. I hadn't shaved in weeks! :dohh:I didn't even think about it until I was hunched over getting my epidural and saw the jungle that was my legs. So embarrassing!:haha:

So all hair coloring is safe???

It really depends on who you talk to. I avoided it in the first trimester, never got around to it in the second, and just made sure that I was in a very airy spot so I wasnt inhaling all sorts of nasty.

Shaved legs make people feel better, I think, even if hardly anyone sees them. Just like eyebrows lol (i have rather thick bangs)

I learned this well last pregnancy and birth. Last time I totally let myself go, and as a consequence have basically no photos of me full length while pregnant. I also think my labour photos are hideous, my eyebrows unkempt, my hair gone to crap, no makeup.

This time I am putting the effort in, I wear makeup every day, I always straighten my hair and I'm going to do all I can to look as good as possible when I go into hospital so that at least I won't be embarrassed to show anyone my birth photos!

I looked like shit during birth and it was induction. I'm so amazed by how swollen and puffy pregnancy made my face. So here is during and I just have to put a after picture to show that the puffy face goes away for all you ladies :)

You look so different in your prof picture than there! Either way, I think you look gorgeous.

Heh, thanks - I put on 35kg (70+lb) with my first, I was severely bloated and gross when I went into labour. My avatar was taken at my lowest weight, which was 38kg below my full term pregnancy weight, and after shaving my head!

I've put on about 20kg this time so not doing too badly in comparison!

I know I won't be wearing eye make up as I'll probably cry a lot :haha:

Thankfully I keep my hair it's natural colour now so no roots, it's long so it looks nice either curly, my natural waves or straight so it doesn't matter how my hair ends up and now that my acne has gone thanks to pregnancy I might not even need the thin layer of foundation I put on

Sadly, I'll still look a mess. :haha:

I'm preparing myself to look like utter crap during labour lol so i wont be disapointed when i see the pics and i look horrendous haha!

I'm getting hair cut and HD brows done this week...ha not like it'll make a difference but it'll make me feel better for a while!

I have banned photography untill I look half decent... Im also investing in the best waterproof mascara I can, thats the only thing I will be wearing, in any less the pleasant pics I will probably touch them up to get rid of some of the red!!

You all look lovely.

I hate to say this, but I'm so vain. I hope I look halfway decent during labor, but I'm sure I won't. I wish I knew exactly when I was going to go into labor so I could get a blow-out beforehand... how awful is that?! But baby is on her own schedule. If I've learned anything from being pregnant, it's that I need to let go of my control-freak tendencies! LOL

I have thought about this so my plan is to get my legs & bikini line waxed. Eyebrows & eyelashes tinted & a manicure & pedicure with french polish done. Hopefully this week cos I can't leave it any longer. The waxing is the most important though as I haven't been able to shave my legs in weeks!!!

i got my nails manicured every week of my maternity leave until the day i went into labour becuase i couldn't stand the thought of having lovely close up photos of a new born baby and them being ruined my manky finger nails. Also the day i wnet into labour i made sure my hair was straightened rather than it's normal frizzy mess!
